Advanced Lighting Control Systems Case Studies | Pacific Energy Center, San Francisco, CA| Thursday, November 16, 2017| 9:00am – 4:00pm

While the percentage of buildings that have Advanced Lighting Controls Systems (ALCS) installed remains quite low, they are gradually becoming more prevalent, partly as a result of changes to Title 24 that require them. With new combined capabilities of ALCS, we can now do many things never before possible, including realizing significant energy savings (typically from 20-40%) on top of more efficient LED luminaires, and increasing user comfort, health and productivity. ALCS plays an important role in achieving Zero Net Energy (ZNE) buildings, mandated for all new residential construction in California by 2020, and an optimal design process remains critical to their successful adoption.

This course will present several important ALCS demonstration projects that provide valuable data, learning, and experience. The results and lessons learned will be presented in case studies that focus primarily on designing, implementing and operating ALCS, and will address task tuning; CCT and LLD tuning; optimizing the integrated design process; designing for ZNE; assessing technologies and systems; and calculating ROI and presenting solutions to owners.

Fellow panelists include:

This course is worth 6.00 AIA CEUs.
