THE CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES OF CREATING A RESEARCH CAMPUS AS A SELF-SUSTAINING ENERGY HUB
Thursday, October 11, 2017 | 4:00pm – 5:00pm
Learn about the challenges and opportunities faced as our respective research campuses have developed as self-sustaining energy hubs or microgrids. Our innovation district leaders, Paul Tyno and Greg King, will address the lack of central governance among independent member institutions; the implications and relationships between the projects’ technical choices and the commercial/financial structure. Kenny Smith will discuss how to best use a customer-to-grid asset, understanding that success can be tied to regulation and incentives or effective market animation.
