Streamlining Support Services with New Director of Administration
Vancouver, BC (February 1, 2016): Integral Group is pleased to announce Heidi Mathena, BA, MCert, has taken on a new role as Director of Administration. During her 17 years at Integral, Heidi’s role has progressively grown as the firm has expanded and undergone major changes. In recognition of her accomplishments and contributions to the success of the company, Heidi will now take on a senior role managing the administration strategy firm wide and will continue to be involved in human resource operations for Integral Group Canada.
Heidi has played a key role in pursuing the company-wide vision to be the leading global deep green engineering practice, and has been a true and inspiring leader. “Heidi’s ability and contributions have been invaluable to the company and she embodies our core values of trust, nurture and inspire. We couldn’t be happier for her as she takes on this new position,” explains Conrad Schartau, COO and Executive Vice President. Heidi, is equally enthused about the role and is excited to bring new ideas to this position to improve efficiency and productivity within her department. Heidi shares, “I am honored to take on this new opportunity and look forward to aligning the company’s administrative policies and processes across the entire group.”
Heidi joined the firm in 1998 and quickly advanced through several roles within the Administrative department. As she gained experience, her responsibilities also grew beyond the Vancouver office. Her hard work and commitment have been clear throughout her career, and she was promoted to Office Manager in 2001. Heidi diligently served in this role, providing continuity throughout the firm’s changes, from rebranding from VEL Engineering to Cobalt Engineering in 2005 and again to Integral Group in 2013. Her high level of dedication and remarkable work ethic have led to her promotion in this new role as Director of Administration.
A graduate of UBC, Heidi has pursued her Certification in Business and HR Management at BCIT during her time at Integral and has also helped streamline the Human Resources department. In addition, she has provided training and guidance to ensure consistency throughout all support services while managing the administration team across multiple offices.
