TELUS Garden: One Million Square Feet of Performance

TELUS Garden covers a full downtown Vancouver city block and consists of one million square feet of brand new real estate, including half a million square feet of LEED Platinum office space and over 400 LEED Gold residential units. The office tower will be the first ever LEED Platinum office tower in Vancouver. Designed by Henriquez Partners Architects, Integral Group is providing mechanical, electrical and LEED consulting engineering services to guide this project towards achieving its sustainable goals.

Integral Group Managing Principal Goran Ostojic discusses industry trends and economic incentives tied to energy performance in the Sept/Oct 2014 issue of gb&d Magazine. “This is a $750 million building. There should be tax breaks if it succeeds in its energy reduction and LEED Platinum performance,” Ostojic says. “Some portion of tax should be correlated to performance.”
