The Village at False Creek

Vancouver Olympic Village

The Village at False Creek, the home of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, is part of a larger overall development program initiated by the City of Vancouver to revitalize the historic industrial lands at Southeast False Creek. The Village at False Creek will predominantly function as an integrated village community with easy access to the City’s commercial core. The project has been developed to incorporate numerous innovations in planning, design, and community building and uses passive design as a key component of reducing energy and resource use.

The neighborhood comprises 1,100 units of residential accommodation, including 252 units of affordable housing, 110 units of rental housing, and 60,000 ft² of retail space at the heart of the development. Community amenities include a community center with a gymnasium, meeting rooms and exercise facilities, and a daycare center. Integral Group provided numerous services for the project, including mechanical, sustainable master planning, building energy modeling, and façade design for all buildings. Integral Group also provided LEED project management services for related mechanical credits.
