Stuart brings over 20 years of buildings engineering experience to the Team. His mechanical experience covers a wide range of projects including commercial, institutional, and manufacturing. Stuart has gained high-level global experience from his involvement in world-class manufacturing facilities in Europe and the Far East. Involvement in such complex projects has given him an in-depth understanding of the integration of engineering and architectural systems, which is essential to delivering high performance design solutions. He is proactive in following sustainability practices across the world to seek out progressive technologies and strategies that he can incorporate into his projects in North America.
Integral Group’s Vancouver Design Studio champions the use of the most innovative and sustainable systems, which have been incorporated into award-winning, high-performance buildings across the lower mainland. The Vancouver team moved into their current space in 2010, and the tenant improvement redesign project earned two honors from the Interior Design Institute of British Columbia (IDIBC). The open space office houses over 100 team members focused on delivering high quality, expert advice in green building system design and energy engineering across a range of industries.
Located in the downtown core, floor-to-ceiling windows and low panels wrap the space to maximize vistas of the oceanfront and north shore mountain. Designed with sustainability in mind, a focus on daylight harvesting reduces energy consumption, and custom plywood lighting fixture in the reception area speaks to light and air.

Goran has over 20 years of experience working as an engineer and energy consultant and is recognized as a global player in energy efficiency and sustainable building design. His contributions and work on international projects in Europe provides him with a unique perspective on design and documentation in North America. Ali NazariPrincipal, Energy & Sustainability Director - Canada
Currently leading the energy modelling and sustainability teams as a Principal at Integral Group, Ali is well versed in integrated design facilitation, LEED, sustainability and advanced building energy simulations. With over fourteen years of experience in the green building industry, he leads a team of energy modelers and sustainability advisors throughout Canada.
Complementing his theoretical knowledge base, Ali has a detailed technical understanding of and experience with environmental building codes and standards. Ali, who serves as the Chair for the BC Chapter Leadership Board of the CaGBC, is on the CaGBC’s Experienced Modellers List and has provided third party review services for both the CaGBC and USGBC. Collaborating with local utilities, he has helped clients secure local green funding options from various energy efficiency incentive programs. Being part of an elite group of less than 400 people with BEMP certification, he conducts Building Energy Quotient (bEQ) which provides vital information about a building’s energy usage. He has also presented on energy modeling and sustainability at various conferences throughout North America.

Ivan brings over 20 years of industry experience with considerable knowledge in the design of lighting, power systems, life safety and communications systems. His knowledge includes a variety of building types including healthcare, education, offices and laboratories. He has completed an array of projects for Vancouver Coastal Health such as renovation and tenant work for both the Vancouver General and UBC Hospitals. In addition, Ivan has completed energy audits for schools and mixed use buildings. He is the Engineer of Record for the highly sustainable award-winning TELUS Garden and MNP Tower in Downtown Vancouver. Vladimir has a passion for designing energy-efficient and environmentally responsive buildings. With over 25 years of experience, Vladimir is well versed in all aspects of sustainable building design. A recognized leader in geo-exchange technology, Vladimir has designed several systems internationally and co-authored the Geo-Exchange System Design Guidelines for applications in British Columbia. Vladimir is the Engineer-of-Record for Gleneagles Community Centre, the first “constant temperature building” in North America, as well as the recently completed Creekside Community Centre, BC’s first LEED Platinum recreational facility.
