Cal Poly Student Services Building Wins 2019 SCDF Design Award
Introba (formerly Integral Group) is excited to share that one of our projects, the Student Services Building at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, has received a 2019 Southern California Development Forum (SCDF) Design Award. These awards celebrate projects that demonstrate innovation and a commitment to the community from both the owners and the design team. The Student Services building was recognized for reflecting the mission of Cal Poly Pomona, which is a student-centered university with an emphasis on the union of engineering, agriculture and environmental design.
Introba provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services in addition to daylighting, energy modeling, and sustainability consulting on this project. This Zero Net Energy ready building features a large overhang that provides window shading to minimize solar heat gain while still allowing for abundant daylighting. Among many other sustainable features, the building also features radiant heating and cooling.
Introba is proud to have collaborated with CO Architects on Cal Poly Pomona’s first LEED Platinum certified project.
