King’s College London | Weston Education Centre
The Weston Education Centre (WEC) consisted of complete refurbishment and re-ordering of the existing library facility with the refurbishment of two lecture theaters, nine classrooms, and a boardroom. The refurbishment of the lecture theatres involved installing a completely new audio-visual to enhance the delivery of lectures and students’ experience, incorporating features such as lecture capture, projection/display facilities, integrated lighting control, etc.
The delivery of the classrooms, lecture/seminar, and group study rooms have two varying specifications depending on usage. As part of the refurbishment works, the team addressed the inherent overheating and acoustic issues experienced by staff and occupants within the library and lecture theatre.
