Orleans Primary School

Orleans Primary School involves expanding a 2FE infant school and nursery to a 3FE primary school with an attached nursery. The project has been phased to allow the school to remain operational during the entire construction period, with phase 1 consisting of the construction of 2 additional classrooms to the existing building with an extension to the existing main hall and refurbished kitchen area.

Phase 2 of the project entailed the creation of satellite year four and year five buildings, a new small hall with level access, and renovation of the existing nursery building to add year six classrooms to the current Victorian block. The satellite buildings were services from a centralized heat generation plant, with all electrical services interconnected to the existing infrastructure.

Orleans Primary School was a finalist in The Building Future Education (BFE) Awards.
