Sapient Eden House
This project was undertaken in two phases. The first phase was a 10,000 ft² strip out and fit out of office space to a new 130-person private coffee bar and town hall space and design center meeting suites on the ground floor. The second phase was a refurbishment in occupation of the first and second floors, changing a meeting suite and internal client reception back to additional occupancy workspace once phase 1 had been completed.
We designed the mechanical services to combine two risers for fresh air ventilation in high occupancy carbon dioxide sensing controls to allow the fresh air to flow where it is most required. The scheme would not have been feasible without this innovative solution.
The contract was let as a design and build, but the team’s role was to provide a robust set of stage D performance information and specifications for the contractor to develop. We were retained to review the contractor-developed design information, monitor the installation, and witness the testing and commissioning.
