Strode’s College | New Teaching Block
Strode’s College’s new teaching block project involved the construction of a new teaching block and student center. The student center comprises a cafeteria that opens onto the playing fields, a one-stop-shop for student support services, and upstairs, a base for personal tutors, careers, additional learning support, counselor, chaplain, admissions, attendance officer, student financial support, and student council office.
The new teaching block has modern, well-equipped teaching accommodation with 14 classrooms catering for maths, social science, and humanities subjects, staff workrooms, and an atrium.
Elementa Consulting’s work on this project included providing employers with requirements for the mechanical, electrical, and public health design and energy strategy to achieve planning consent. Sustainable design features included natural ventilation and solar hot water.
