White Lodge Centre

White Lodge Centre is a center of excellence supporting disabled people of all ages; most buildings house residential accommodation, therapy, and fitness facilities. The center includes respite accommodation, therapy rooms, creative arts, leisure, life skills, and information technology suites. The key design challenge was providing a modern specialist multi-use community facility suitable for all ages.

Elementa Consulting provided full mechanical, electrical, and public health design, including heating, hot and cold water, ventilation, above-ground drainage, electrical power, lighting, data, fire alarms, and security.

Close working with the project team and understanding current regulations has enabled the introduction of sustainable elements such as natural ventilation, solar shading, low energy lighting, and daylight dimming to reduce capital and operational costs significantly.

White Lodge Centre received a Special Judges Award at the Building Better Healthcare Awards.
