Clara Bagenal George Speaking at Ecobuild 2018
Senior Engineer, Clara Bagenal George is speaking at this years Ecobuild conference at London’s Excel centre.
Session Details:
Advancing net zero – can all buildings be net zero carbon by 2050 and all new build by 2030?
Every building in the world must attain ‘net zero carbon’ by 2050 if the effects of global warming are to be limited below 2 degrees centigrade explains the World Green Building Council in “From Thousands to Billions – Coordinated Action towards 100% Net Zero Carbon Buildings By 2050”. This calls for a completely zero carbon built environment with all new buildings operating at net zero carbon by 2030 and all buildings operating at net zero carbon by 2050 which will also involve an ambitious retrofit programme for both commercial and domestic buildings. Regardless of the uncertainties of Brexit and regulatory requirements, we must prioritise achieving these goals. Who are the critical players? What are the key barriers and opportunities? This session will investigate.
