Zak World of Façades Australia is part of an international conference series on the subject of façade design & engineering. Now in it’s 47th edition globally and the 2nd edition in Australia, the conference will discuss the latest innovations and challenges in the construction industry pertaining to the building envelope and will showcase the latest technological solutions.

This conference is relevant for architects, façade consultants, developers, government officials, PMC’s, main contractors, sustainability consultants, fire consultants, façade contractors, cost consultants, glass processors, and structural consultants.

Zak World of Façades

David Barker is an Associate Principal at Elementa Consulting, a member of Integral Group, and leads the Building Physics team in their London office. He oversees a number of consulting services, including facade optimisation, low-carbon design, energy modelling for major projects, and daylighting. David’s team of architects and engineers provide solutions for sustainable outcomes, improved health and wellbeing, as well as design strategies for submission to planning authorities.

Driven by a passion for creating incredible spaces for people, David uses a combination of technical expertise and analysis skills to provide a holistic perspective to built environment design. His approach recognises the commercial imperative, addressing the needs and risks of key stakeholders including developer, landlord and occupant.

David has been involved in a diverse range of projects around the world with wide-ranging scales and typologies. Notable projects include the Kuwait International Tennis Centre, the American University of Beirut Medical Centre Expansion, and the Administration and Media Building at Melbourne Olympic Park. Earlier this year, David published a white paper in collaboration with Merck Window Technologies, exploring the performance of their new liquid crystal glazing product.
