Blatchford Redevelopment Masterplan Awarded for Urban Design

The Blatchford Redevelopment Masterplan project in Edmonton, AB received a medal at the 2014 National Urban Design Awards, in the Urban Design Plans category. The award recognizes individuals, organizations, firms and projects that have contributed to the quality of life in our Canadian cities and their sustainability.  Integral Group Canada was part of the Redevelopment Masterplan and provided green building and energy strategies on a team led by Perkins+Will.

Formerly a central city airport site, Blatchford offers a highly sustainable community to its residents, intended to use a 100 percent carbon-neutral energy and a strategy that will take the development beyond carbon-neutral.
