Kevin Hydes and Ed Garrod to present at Vision 2017

Next month sees the return of Vision, the UK’s premier built environment event, offering industry intelligence on products, materials, trends and technology across the construction market. Aimed at architects, designers, specifiers and their clients, Vision 2017 provides an international focus for innovative products and building solutions, bringing together some of the best designs and leading figures from across Western Europe.

Kevin Hydes, CEO of Integral Group, will present a key note address at the conference on ‘How and Why Net Zero Energy Buildings and Living Buildings Need to Become the Norm within a Generation’. Kevin will share his observations and experiences from a diverse and global perspective on how the major markets around the world are working towards a net zero future for buildings. He will reflect on how communities in the industry need to respond by designing buildings and operating buildings that are cost effective pragmatic and crucially resilient. Ed Garrod, a Principal in Elementa’s London office will also present a seminar at the event ‘The New Fitwel Standard – A Journey Shared’. As the first Fitwel certified ambassador in Europe, Ed will give an insight into how Elementa Consulting’s London office became Europe’s first Fitwel certified workplace in March 2017, explaining a range cost-effective wellbeing strategies that can be applied to any office. Fitwel is an evidence-based third-party rating system for buildings developed and tested by experts in public health and design over a five year process. It focuses on occupant health and productivity through targeted improvements to workplace design and operational policies. (6th June 11:10am – 11:30am – Theatre 3)

In addition to the talks, Ben Galuza, a Principal in Elementa’s London office, will be taking part in the NLA‘s London: Design Capital Vision PechaKucha alongside other industry experts in a lively exchange of ideas investigating the breadth and scale of London’s global reach.
