Kaiser Permanente | Baldwin Hills Medical Office Building
This new medical office building was constructed on an 8.6-acre parcel of land near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Marlton Avenue intersection. The four-story, 105,000 ft² facilities features a central plaza open to the public, allowing for pedestrian traffic between the neighboring shopping center and the residential neighborhood to the west.
The new medical office building targeted LEED Platinum certification and Net Zero Energy. Sustainable design features include solar panels in various locations, including the parking lots and central plaza, natural ventilation, a photovoltaic canopy as part of an architectural rooftop feature, green rooftop areas, and exterior walls featuring rain screen designs and spandrel glazing.
