Sunnyhill Primary School

As a part of the London Borough of Lambeth’s Primary Capital Programme Consultants Framework, Elementa Consulting was selected to join the team at Sunnyhill Primary. The project involved the redevelopment of the existing Sunnyhill Primary School from 2FE to 3FE through the extension and refurbishment of the current facilities. The team delivered design services that ensure a high-quality environment, encouraging learning while maintaining security, functionality, practicality, and accessibility.

Elementa Consulting provided mechanical, electrical, and public health design for the project, including hot and cold water, heating, ventilation, security, and data, above and below slab public health and low energy lighting design. The team also acted as BREEAM Education assessors to the Sunnyhill Primary School and targeted a Very Good rating and is currently on track for achieving an Excellent rating. This rating was facilitated through a sustainable approach across the design board, but particularly in the inclusion of ground source heat pump technology, topped up with photovoltaics and solar thermal technologies.
