Tsleil-Waututh Community Centre
Tsleil-Waututh Community Centre development is approximately 24,600 ft², which includes 16,200 ft² of Tsleil-Waututh nation development, 4,300 ft² of Health Centre, and 4,100 ft² of leasable office space. In the heart of the Tsleil-Waututh community, residents can enjoy a full gymnasium and community center that provides a space for sporting events, community gatherings, meetings, and other special events.
The building will be predominantly naturally ventilated, with all perimeter rooms equipped with manually operable windows. Interior rooms will be ventilated via displacement ventilation or overhead ventilation to suit the space requirements. The space heating and cooling system for all small individual rooms with demand will be convective heating and cooling units. The new center’s electrical systems design includes distribution, specialized lighting, communication, and fire alarm systems.
Integral Group is currently providing mechanical and electrical consulting services to this innovative first nation cultural and health center located in North Vancouver, British Columbia working with Lubor Trubka Associates Architects.
